Welcome to Acorn Veterinary Clinic & Oak Tree Animal Rehab!
NOTICE - February 12, 2022
Yolo County has announced that it will be lifting the indoor mask mandate on for fully vaccinated individuals on Tuesday February 15. This action was in response to a change in State requirements. However, due to the unprecedented nature of COVID-19, Acorn will continue to require all employees to wear masks indoors for at least the next two weeks, regardless of vaccination status.
We thank you for your continued patience as we work to keep you and our staff healthy and safe. We continue to accept appointments for physical exams, vaccines, heart worm tests, and all other routine services. For the time being, we will continue to give priority to urgent and on-going cases so appointment times may be limited. Please contact the clinic for more information. Due to COVID-19, we are not accepting any returns of prescription medications or diets at this time.
When you arrive, please come to the door and text the clinic at (530) 750-9215 including your name and the number on the chair where you are waiting. One of our staff members will be out shortly to assist you and bring your pet inside for any necessary services. In some limited cases, one client may be allowed to accompany your pet into the exam room. If you need to bring your children with you to the exam, we will provide curbside care.
For medical exams we will allow one client in the room with their pet beginning February 16. Based on the close proximity of people in the exam room, we require all visitors to the business continue to wear masks. Individuals that are more comfortable with curbside may continue to do so. Special requests for an additional client in the room are at the Doctor's discretion. If you are not comfortable entering the clinic, we will be happy to provide you with our curbside service.
Client time inside the facility will be limited with clients asked to move outside for treatments and procedures. All rehab and technician appointments will continue as curbside only.
If you are feeling ill, please reschedule your appointment and stay home.
We will also continue to refill your prescriptions including heart worm and flea preventatives and any maintenance medications as usual, however, due to the reduction in staff, prescription refills and online pharmacy requests may take up to 72 hours to process. Please plan ahead so we may have your medications ready to pick up when you need them.
We apologize for any inconvenience. We intend to continue expanding our service offerings as soon as possible, while doing everything we can to maximize the safety of our staff, clients and the community. We are committed to providing the best care in the safest way possible during these uncertain times.
